‘Servant of the People’ faction in Parliament calls for new coalition and government

“Recognizing the significantly heightened threat to the very existence of the Ukrainian state as a result of the exposure of large-scale corruption schemes at the highest levels of government, and the subsequent crisis of trust in key state institutions, we, Members of Parliament representing the ‘Servant of the People’ political faction, declare our political position,” the statement says.

The party emphasized that there must be no untouchables.

“All individuals without exception who appear in the anti-corruption investigation by the NABU and SAPO into the activities of the criminal group headed by Tymur Mindich must be dismissed immediately. If further investigation uncovers new persons in positions of authority who were involved in the activities of this group, they too must face the strictest sanctions provided by Ukrainian law,” the document states.

At the same time, the MPs stated that all state authorities without exception must cooperate with the NABU and SAPO to ensure the investigation is completed and the case materials are transferred to court.

“Any attempts to pressure anti-corruption bodies, discredit their work, or artificially limit their powers are unacceptable and run counter to Ukraine’s national interests,” the party stressed.

Members of the faction also called for urgent negotiations among all pro-Ukrainian factions and groups in the Verkhovna Rada to create a “coalition of national resilience” in order to restore the trust of Ukrainian citizens and international partners in the state.

“We call on all pro-Ukrainian parliamentary forces to put aside narrow party or personal priorities that could hinder such unity,” the ‘Servant of the People’ faction stated.

They also propose that after forming the coalition of national resilience, all factions and groups participating in it begin negotiations on forming a Government of National Resilience — without party quotas or backroom deals.

According to the representatives of the ruling faction, such a government must be:

·formed without party quotas, backroom arrangements, or “personal loyalists,”

·composed of professionals with impeccable reputations and proven management experience in relevant fields,

·focused on fulfilling a clearly defined anti-crisis mandate: ensuring defense capability, economic resilience, energy security, and uncompromising action against high-level corruption.

“Members of such a government must defend national — not narrow political or partisan — interests and must not use their positions as springboards for future political campaigns,” the statement emphasizes.

The politicians also stress the need to ensure constitutional balance of power and to strengthen public trust in the institution of the Presidency.

“The power triangle — the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine — must return to functioning within the framework of the Constitution and operate according to the principles of a parliamentary-presidential republic,” the faction’s statement reads.

It is noted that the work of the Office of the President must be maximally transparent, institutionally structured, and free from any informal influence by individuals involved in corrupt practices.

“We are convinced that the President of Ukraine will use the results of this investigation and the clear demand of society as an opportunity to cleanse and renew his immediate circle, strengthening trust in the institution of the Head of State both inside the country and among our international partners,” the MPs emphasized.

Members of the faction also appeal to Ukrainian civil society, Ukrainian media, and international partners, calling on them to support this initiative as a necessary condition for continuing the joint struggle to preserve Ukraine’s independence and sovereignty.

As reported by Ukrinform, on November 19, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted to dismiss Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko and Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk.
