Romanian foreign minister condemns Russia's overnight attack on Ukraine

"Another Russian reckless attacks on Ukraine with consequences on Romanian soil. Last night's Russian bombing against Ukrainian commercial ports' infrastructure resulted in drone fragments falling in an inhabited area on Romanian territory. These actions are part of a series of similar incidents and represent a clear pattern in Russia's war of aggression," Țoiu said.

She added that these incidents also reflect Russia's systematic provocations against the EU and NATO.

"We will not hesitate to increase the price Russia pays for such reckless and illegal actions. Romania, the EU and the US have adopted sanctions that have already had an important impact. We are undertaking the preparations for further sanctions and concrete measures that impose a concrete cost on the aggressor," the minister said.

In the early hours of November 11, the Russian army attacked critical infrastructure in Ukraine's southern Odesa region with strike drones, injuring one person.

In Romania's Tulcea County, drone fragments were detected overnight amid the Russian attack on the Odesa region.
