Zelensky says Ukraine preparing agreements with partners to strengthen air defense, energy security

Ukraine is preparing agreements with several European countries, including those aimed at reinforcing its air defense and energy systems.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in his nightly video address, Ukrinform reports.

He noted that he had held a diplomatic meeting focused on upcoming events and meetings in the coming weeks.

"We are preparing agreements with several European countries, including those aimed at bolstering our air defense and energy sector," he said.

Zelensky added that Ukraine continues to expand such agreements primarily with European partners, "that allow us to recover step by step after Russian strikes."

Since June 1, 2024, Ukrainian banks have financed business projects for the development of 1.239 GW of electricity generation capacity, as well as 434 MW of energy storage and heat generation capacity.
