Ukraine, EU, and U.S. prepare joint peace plan – Yermak

Ukrinform
Ukraine and its allies are jointly developing a peace plan that will result in a single document; there are no alternative “plans” proposed by individual countries.

Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak announced the news, Ukrinform reports, citing RBC-Ukraine.

According to Yermak, there have recently been numerous media reports about supposed alternative “plans” — one allegedly from the United States, another from the European Union, and yet others from individual countries.

“There are no different plans to choose from — and certainly no plans for someone else to choose among. There are working discussions on the wording, but all partners are in constant communication,” Yermak emphasized.

He underlined that the outcome will be a single document, jointly developed by Ukraine and its partners, which will fully take into account Ukraine’s interests.

According to the Head of the Office of the President, this is not about competing initiatives but about achieving synergy — between Ukraine, the EU, the United States, and other partners — with U.S. participation being fundamental.

“Presidents Zelensky and Trump, as well as European leaders, equally believe that any negotiations must begin with a ceasefire along the current line of contact. All partners agree that, for diplomats to work effectively, hostilities must stop. We highly value President Trump’s leadership as a peacemaker and believe that he can help Ukraine achieve a just, lasting peace, guaranteed by reliable security guarantees,” Yermak added.

He also noted that on Monday, November 3, following the recent meeting of the leaders of the Coalition of the Willing member states, a new online session of the Coalition will be held at the level of national security advisors.

“All ideas will be discussed there to synchronize positions and work out further steps,” he said.

“The President of Ukraine is in constant contact with all partner state leaders. Our team — the Office of the President, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Security and Defense Council, and others — is in continuous coordination with their counterparts. I speak almost daily with national security and defense advisors to foreign leaders. The war is happening here; Ukraine is the one under attack — therefore, the final configuration of the plan and the parameters of the peace agreement will be determined by us. This is a matter of justice and common sense,” the Head of the Presidential Office stated.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, according to Minister for Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine expects that the upcoming meeting between the Presidents of the United States and China will help intensify global peace efforts and influence Beijing’s position regarding the cessation of Russian energy imports that finance the Kremlin’s aggression.

U.S. President Donald Trump said that during his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the South Korean city of Busan, they discussed the Russian-Ukrainian war and expressed confidence that China would contribute to resolving the conflict.
