Hungary will not block EU's 19th sanctions package against Russia – Szijjarto
That is according to Euractiv, Ukrinform reports.
"We don't have such a plan to block it [the sanctions package]," Szijjarto said.
He added that Hungary had managed to exclude from the package all measures that "would have gone against our national interest."
At the same time, when asked whether he contributed to the discussion on the next round of sanctions on Russia, Szijjarto said: "I don't contribute to crazy things," arguing that the EU's sanctions policy has failed because Russia's war on Ukraine continues.
As of October 14, two EU member states – Slovakia and Austria – were delaying the approval of the 19th sanctions package against Russia.
On October 18, Austria announced that it would agree to the adoption of the EU's 19th sanctions package against Russia.
