Zelensky, Merz discuss Patriot systems, missiles for Ukraine
The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"During our meeting with Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz, I gave him a brief overview of our key needs. We discussed strengthening Ukraine's air defense, including the supply of Patriot systems and compatible missiles, implementing the PURL initiative, using frozen Russian assets for Ukraine's defense and recovery, and developing security guarantees," Zelensky wrote.

He expressed gratitude to Germany for its consistent support.
"Germany is among the leaders in aid, which is extremely important for us," Zelensky said.
Earlier, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced at the Warsaw Security Forum that Germany, with support from its Norwegian partners, would deliver two more advanced Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine by the end of 2025.
