U.S. officials discuss supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, final decision lies with Trump – J.D. Vance

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance confirmed that President Donald Trump’s administration is discussing Ukraine’s request for Tomahawk missiles.

According to Ukrinform, Vance said this in an interview with Fox News.

In response to a reporter’s question about supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, Vance said: “It is something the President can make the final determination on.”

He added: “What the President will do is what’s in the best interest of the United States of America.”

Vance noted that the President himself would announce the decision.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he had clear support from U.S. President Donald Trump for strikes on Russian targets, including energy infrastructure and weapons manufacturing facilities. Zelensky added that during his meeting with Trump, he requested “one thing” (specific weaponry), which would provide “additional pressure on Putin.”
