Ukraine interested in cooperation with Philippines in defense technologies – Sybiha

According to Ukrinform, Sybiha reported this on the social media platform X.

"I had a productive meeting with Theresa Lazaro in New York. Grateful to the Philippines for its unwavering support for Ukrainian sovereignty, territorial integrity, and commitment to peace. We are interested in deepening political, economic, and security cooperation for our shared future. We agreed to hold political consultations until the end of this year," the minister said.

The two sides also noted the importance of Ukraine establishing its embassy in Manila.

Sybiha stressed that Ukraine is ready to cooperate with the Philippines in the field of modern defense technologies.

He also congratulated the Philippines on its upcoming ASEAN chairmanship in 2026 and reaffirmed Ukraine's interest in actively participating in ASEAN events as well as in boosting trade.

"We also coordinated our cooperation within international organizations," Sybiha said.
