Zelensky and Nawrocki may meet in New York in coming days
This was stated by Marcin Przydacz, Head of the International Policy Bureau at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Ukrinform reports, citing Polskie Radio.
According to him, Nawrocki will visit the United States to take part in the UN General Assembly session in New York. Przydacz noted that several bilateral and multilateral meetings in various formats are planned on the sidelines of the General Assembly.
When asked about a possible meeting with Zelensky, Nawrocki’s aide said that the UN assembly hall is in fact quite small, with everyone present, so contacts between politicians are inevitable. He added that, certainly, at least a brief exchange of views with the President of Ukraine may take place there.
As reported, the 80th session of the UN General Assembly opened on Tuesday, September 9, under the presidency of German politician Annalena Baerbock. Around 100 presidents and more than 40 prime ministers will meet during the high-level week of the 80th UNGA session, scheduled for September 23–29.
The Ukrainian delegation will be led by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has not ruled out a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky next week in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
