“It was not mistake”: Tusk, Sikorski respond to Trump regarding Russian drone attack
They posted their comments on social media X, according to Ukrinform.
In particular, Tusk said that he would also like to believe that the attack was accidental, but, in his words, this is not the case.
“We would also wish that the drone attack on Poland was a mistake. But it wasn’t. And we know it,” wrote the head of the Polish government.
Sikorski reposted the news about Trump's statement and replied briefly: “No, it was not a mistake.”
As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of September 10, about two dozen Russian drones flew into Polish territory, several of which were shot down. Commenting on this incident, the US president expressed the opinion that Russia's violation of Polish airspace could have been a mistake.
Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that this nighttime incursion by drones “was not an accidental event.”
