The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted to appoint a new Cabinet of Ministers.

This was reported by Ukrinform, citing a post by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram.

253 MPs voted in favor of the government's appointment.

The new government includes:

• Mykhailo Fedorov – First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Digital Transformation;

• Oleksii Kuleba – Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery – Minister of Infrastructure and Territorial Development;

• Taras Kachka – Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration;

• Matviy Bidny – Minister of Youth and Sports;

• Herman Halushchenko – Minister of Justice;

• Svitlana Grynychuk – Minister of Energy;

• Nataliia Kalmykova – Minister of Veterans Affairs;

• Ihor Klymenko – Minister of Internal Affairs;

• Oksen Lisovyi – Minister of Education and Science;

• Viktor Liashko – Minister of Health;

• Serhiy Marchenko – Minister of Finance;

• Oleksii Sobolev – Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture;

• Denys Uliutin – Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine.

As reported by Ukrinform, on July 14, during a meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Svyrydenko, Zelensky offered her the position of head of the Cabinet of Ministers.

On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada supported the resignation of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. Along with him, the entire government automatically resigned.

Shmyhal held the position of head of government for the longest time in the history of independent Ukraine - 5 years (since March 4, 2020).

On July 16, during a closed meeting of the Servant of the People faction with the participation of the President and the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, proposals were presented for the candidates for the new Prime Minister and members of the government.

On July 17, the Verkhovna Rada voted to appoint Yuliia Svyrydenko as Prime Minister of Ukraine.
