Pentagon says it continues to provide Trump with options for Ukraine military aid

The US Department of Defense continues to provide President Donald Trump with “reliable” options for further military assistance to Ukraine that will lead to the end of the war.

This was stated in a response from a Pentagon spokesperson to a media inquiry from Ukrinform received on Wednesday.

“The Department of Defense continues to provide the President with robust options for continue military aid to Ukraine, consistent with his goal of bringing this tragic war to an end,” the US defense department said.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon added, they are “rigorously examining and adapting its approach to achieving this objective while also preserving U.S. forces’ readiness for Administration defense priorities.”

As reported by Ukrinform, on Monday night, US media reported that the Pentagon had suspended the supply of ammunition and missiles to Ukraine. White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly confirmed this, saying that the decision was made “to put America's interests first after the US Department of Defense reviewed military support and assistance to other countries around the world.”
