Kremlin set to intensify efforts to sabotage peace talks – CCD

In the near future, Kremlin propagandists will intensify efforts aimed at discrediting the negotiation process and the U.S.-Ukraine minerals deal, among other things.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

“The Center forecasts a near-term intensification of efforts by Kremlin propagandists aimed at discrediting the negotiation process. Enemy propaganda will focus on spreading narratives about Ukraine's alleged ‘inability to negotiate’ and its supposed deliberate disruption of the negotiation process,” the statement reads.

It is noted that an intensification of Russia’s information campaign is expected, targeting the legitimacy of the Ukrainian government. The basis of these information operations will be narratives about supposed “usurpation of power,” “unwillingness to hold elections,” and the “loss of legitimacy” of Ukraine's current leadership.

In addition, an increase in Russian disinformation operations aimed at discrediting the U.S.-Ukraine agreement on mineral resources is anticipated. It is also likely that Russian propaganda will step up efforts to destabilize the situation in Poland in connection with the presidential elections on May 18, as well as continue attempts to influence democratic processes in Romania.
