Recently, at NATO headquarters, a meeting of the NATO – Ukraine Council in military representatives format was held, during which the parties discussed the current security situation in Ukraine and the progress of combat operations.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

The event was chaired by Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee.

During the meeting, Major General Serhii Salkutsan, Ukraine's military representative to NATO, briefed the partners on the current security situation in Ukraine and the course of combat operations.

Special attention during the meeting was given to countering informational challenges and Russian propaganda. Colonel Andrii Dyda, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, shared Ukraine's experience in combating Russian information attacks during the defense against Russia's full-scale armed aggression.

"Today, the Russian Federation is waging not only armed aggression against Ukraine but also information terrorism against the entire civilized world. Therefore, our task — together with our partners — is to improve mechanisms to counter Russian propaganda. Ukraine’s experience in resisting Russian hybrid attacks over many years is extremely valuable to our partners and is being successfully applied by them," Dyda emphasized.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Bundeswehr and German intelligence have warned that Russia is preparing for a direct conflict with NATO.
