Trump on call with Putin: "very good", "productive"

Trump issued the statement via Truth Social following the talks, Ukrinform reports.

"My phone conversation today with President Putin of Russia was a very good and productive one. We agreed to an immediate Ceasefire on all Energy and Infrastructure, with an understanding that we will be working quickly to have a Complete Ceasefire and, ultimately, an END to this very horrible War between Russia and Ukraine," Trump said.

According to the U.S. leader, many elements of the peace agreement were discussed, “including the fact that thousands of soldiers are being killed, and both President Putin and President Zelenskyy would like to see it end.”

Trump emphasized that this process is now “in full force and effect”, and also expressed hope that the job will get done “for the sake of Humanity.”

As Ukrinform reported earlier, following the conversation between the two leaders on Tuesday, the Trump administration announced that the Russian side had agreed to a limited ceasefire on energy and infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. At the same time, it was agreed to start negotiations in one of the Middle Eastern countries.
