
Waltz says he discussed with Yermak locations, dates for peace talks

"Had a phone conversation with the U.S. President’s National Security Advisor, Michael Waltz. We discussed the next steps towards a just and lasting peace. We also exchanged views on security issues and the alignment of positions within the framework of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the United States. We have scheduled a meeting for our teams in the near future to continue this important work," Yermak wrote.
On Wednesday, Waltz said in a comment to CBS News he had spoken with his national security counterpart from Ukraine.
“I have literally just been on the phone with my counterpart, the Ukrainian national security advisor, talking about times, locations, delegations, and (about – ed.) truly sitting down for what will be shuttle diplomacy between the United States and Ukrainians, the United States to Russians, and then eventually moving them together toward what President Trump has promised, campaigned on, and what he’s elected for, which is ending this war,” Waltz said.
