Ambassador explains which letter from Zelensky Trump mentioned in Congress speech

This was reported on Facebook by Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S., Oksana Markarova, Ukrinform reports.

"In a very challengin situation, we are still moving forward, building relations and promoting our priorities. President Donald Trump read out a post by our President Volodymyr Zelensky in his address to the nation and said, 'I appreciate that he sent this letter,'" Markarova noted.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Donald Trump, during his address to both houses of Congress, stated that he had received an "important letter" from Volodymyr Zelensky about his intention to sign a minerals agreement, as well as his willingness to sit down at the negotiating table to bring about a strong and lasting peace.

On Tuesday, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his meeting with Donald Trump last Friday in Washington “did not go the way it was supposed to be.” He noted that now “it is time to make things right”.

“We would like future cooperation and communication to be constructive,” the President of Ukraine emphasized.
