Trump confident Russia not to invade Ukraine again once peace deal reached

Ukrinform
U.S. President Donald Trump expressed confidence that Russia would not invade Ukraine after a peace agreement is reached.

He made this statement during a meeting at the White House with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

He emphasized that there are two sides — Russia and Ukraine, and while there has been some progress in the process, no agreement has been finalized.

At the same time, the U.S. President stressed that he does not want to discuss "peacekeeping" until a deal is reached. "We have to make a deal first. Right now, we don’t have a deal," Trump noted.

When asked what would happen if Putin failed to uphold the terms of the agreement, Trump replied that he has known the Russian leader for a long time and believes Putin will keep his word. "If we have a deal, it’s going to be a deal," Trump stated.
