European participation to be critical to end war – Kellogg

Ukrinform
U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg stated that the participation of European countries in negotiations to end the Russia-Ukraine war will be crucial.

He made this statement on social media platform X, as reported by Ukrinform.

"America First does not mean America alone and European participation will be critical to end the war and keep the peace," Kellogg wrote.

He added that on the final day of the Munich Security Conference, he met with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Austrian Federal Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg, OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu, and Finnish State Secretary Pasi Rajala.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized that Ukraine and Europe will be part of any real negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.

However, on February 15, Kellogg also stated that European nations failed in securing peace under the Minsk Agreements, making it unlikely that the United States would directly involve them in Ukraine’s peace process.
