Macron invites European leaders to Paris

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated this at the conference and later reiterated the news on social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.

"I am very pleased that President Macron is convening European leaders in Paris, and I hope they will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves," Sikorski said.

He later posted on X that he was also pleased about Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk's planned attendance in Paris at Macron's invitation.

"We need to demonstrate our strength and unity," Sikorski wrote.

According to Ukrainian diplomatic sources, President Volodymyr Zelensky will not be present at the meeting. The gathering will take place in the "Weimar Triangle++" format, which includes France, Germany, Poland, and several other European nations.

U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg earlier stated at the 8th Ukrainian Lunch at the Munich Security Conference that European efforts under the Minsk agreements had failed to secure peace. As a result, the U.S. is unlikely to involve European leaders directly in the peace process for Ukraine.
