Poland’s deputy defense minister arrives in Kyiv

That’s according to the Defense Ministry of Poland, Ukrinform reports with reference to the PAP.

The program of the official's visit includes meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian government and the defense industry.

“Deputy Minister Cezary Tomczyk will hold a series of meetings in the Ukrainian capital with representatives of the Ukrainian government and the defense industry...,” the Polish Defense Ministry said.

Tomczyk is accompanied by the leadership of the Polish Armaments Group (Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa) and its member companies. The talks will focus on strengthening mutual cooperation with Ukraine’s defense sector.

Tomczyk and the Polish delegation arrived in Kyiv by train. The delegation was met at the railway station by the head of the Polish diplomatic mission in Ukraine, Piotr Łukasiewicz, and other officials.

As Ukrinform reported, at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Warsaw, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that if European countries want the new US administration to invest in European security, they themselves must take their NATO commitments seriously and increase defense spending.
