German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a phone call on Wednesday discussed the political, military and humanitarian situation in Ukraine.

German government spokesperson Steffen Hebestreit said this at a briefing on January 24, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

He said Zelensky had informed Scholz about the consequences of Russia's recent missile attacks on Ukraine and thanked the German government for military support provided to his country, especially for bolstering Ukrainian air defenses.
