Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk and Chairman of the Senate of the Czech Republic Miloš Vystrčil signed the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between Parliaments.

"We conclude our meeting today with signing a memorandum of understanding and cooperation. This is the result of our six-month preparation," Vystrčil told a joint briefing with Stefanchuk in Prague, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to Vystrčil, in this way, the Senate of the Czech Republic confirms further support for Ukraine in three areas: support in the fight against the Russian aggressor, mutual cooperation on Ukraine's path to the EU and NATO, and support for the future.

"When the war ends, our support will not end. On the contrary, after the end of the war, Ukraine and the Czech Republic will actively work on the renewal and reconstruction of Ukraine. Cooperation in the cultural, scientific and technical spheres will continue to deepen. This is in the interests of both the Czech Senate and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," the Speaker added.

Stefanchuk underscored that the memorandum would guarantee cooperation between the two countries for many years.

As reported, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk and the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation are on an official visit to the Czech Republic. On October 24, the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform took place in Prague. Almost 70 delegations from the parliaments of world countries took part in the event.
