Ukraine is lobbying through various channels on the issue of obtaining long-range weapons, and there will definitely be a positive result.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this during a press conference on the sidelines of the Crimea Platform summit in Kyiv, reports an Ukrinform correspondent.

"We are working on this (provision of long-range weapons - ed.). Diplomats, my head of office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have their tasks to fulfill. I'm working in different directions to this end. We are lobbying for this through various channels, but we will definitely get results. Just as we received other serious missiles," the president said.

As an example, he cited the Storm Shadow missiles, or SCALP. "They are working, the military is very satisfied. Almost 100 percent hit the enemy," he added.

Regarding other long-range capabilities, Zelensky noted that getting them from partners is not an easy task, "but I am sure that there will be a result, just as there will be a result with fighter jets. There already is some."

As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Sweden, the Netherlands, and Denmark this weekend.

On August 20, the Netherlands and Denmark announced their decision to transfer a batch of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. Ukrainian pilots and maintenance specialists have already started mastering these aircraft. Denmark expects to deliver the first F-16s to Ukraine closer to the New Year.
