Security guarantees for Ukraine: Bulgaria joins G7 declaration

The Council of Ministers of Bulgaria on Wednesday adopted a decision approving Bulgaria's joining the G7 declaration on security guarantees for Ukraine.

That’s according to BTA, Ukrinform reports.

“Bulgaria provides political and practical support to Ukraine. Thus, by opposing Russian aggression directly, Bulgaria contributes to the protection of freedom, security and sovereignty of all European member states. In line with this consistent policy, Bulgaria will join the Joint Declaration of the G7 countries in support of Ukraine,” Bulgaria’s Government Information Service said.

As reported by Ukrinform, the leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) countries agreed on the Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Vilnius on July 11-12.

Later, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Greece, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Sweden joined the declaration. The list continues to grow.
