German ambassador visits Ukraine’s northern border

Germany’s newly appointed Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Jaeger made a trip to the northern border of Ukraine.

The diplomat reported on his visit via Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Honored to visit the country‘s northern border with the Ukrainian Border Guard. They are doing an excellent job out there, securing the future external border of the European Union. Germany is proud to support these dedicated and brave men and women," Jaeger wrote.

As reported by Ukrinform, on July 20, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yevhen Perebyinis received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine, Martin Jaeger.

Jaeger reiterated the German government’s readiness to further strengthen military, economic, and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
