Ukrainian Ambassador: At strategic level, Bundeswehr has no remarks on AFU's actions

The leadership of the German military department has no comments on how Ukrainian soldiers are defending their land and liberating the territories temporarily occupied by Russian invaders, but there is a constant exchange of experience and improvement.

The relevant statement was made by Ukraine's Ambassador to Germany Oleksii Makeiev in a commentary to Ukrinform.

Ambassador called it important that the Ukrainian side is in constant dialogue with the German Ministry of Defense. A lot of military liaison officers are working, relevant information is constantly exchanged, and recommendations are being formulated on the coordination of units and the use of equipment that Ukraine receives from Germany and other partners, the ambassador noted.

"We ask our German partners to conduct the so-called After Action Review, which is a standard procedure that is carried out after operations, after each day of training, to see what was done correctly and what was not. We really appreciate their advice on what to do and how to do it. This happens both at the tactical and strategic level and is part of the training of our Armed Forces," Makeiev said.

Ambassador also emphasized the need to understand that no army in the world today has such experience in combat operations as the Ukrainian one. That is why the After Action Review also provides a lot of information to our partners, who are changing their tactical and strategic approaches, as well as adjusting the training process of both the Ukrainian Armed Forces and their own military.

"If we look at it from a strategic point of view, everyone realizes that the means available to the Ukrainian side, including armored vehicles, air defense systems, and aircraft, are not sufficient. Therefore, when we talk about "Kampf der verbundenen Waffen" (all-out war), we must understand that we, unfortunately, lack long-range artillery and air superiority. In such circumstances, what we are doing is fully understood and supported by the high command," the ambassador emphasized.

In recent days, a Bundeswehr document classified as "secret," as quoted by the tabloid Bild, has become a topic of discussion in the German and Ukrainian media. It allegedly criticizes some of the tactics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It was not prepared by representatives of the Defense Ministry's leadership. The report contains some "criticism" of the Armed Forces, including a lack of coherence and coordination, as well as the incomplete implementation of skills acquired during training abroad. Many German experts have already criticized this document, which, however, no one has seen in person.
