Zelensky dismisses Prystaiko as Ukraine's ambassador to UK

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed Vadym Prystaiko as Ukraine's ambassador to the United Kingdom and permanent representative to the International Maritime Organization.

The decree to that effect, No. 442/2023, has been published on the website of the head of state, Ukrinform reports.

Prystaiko was appointed Ukraine's ambassador to the UK in July 2020.

Since 1994, Prystaiko had held different positions at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry. He served as Ukraine's ambassador to Canada and deputy foreign minister and headed the Mission of Ukraine to NATO.

In May 2019, he was appointed deputy head of the Office of the President. On August 29 of the same year, he was appointed Ukraine's foreign minister.

On March 4, 2020, Prystaiko was appointed Ukraine's deputy prime minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
