Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has become one of the main challenges for the United States administration.

U.S. President Joe Biden said this in an address delivered at the Chiefs of Missions Reception in the White House on Wednesday, Ukrinform reports.

"Because of all the work you've put in, we've been able to rally the world to take on the greatest challenges of our time. What are they? Standing against the brutal war that Putin is waging against the people of Ukraine and helping them defend themselves. Because if we didn't, imagine what happens. Think about it," he said.

According to Biden, among other challenges facing the U.S. is managing competition with China so that it does not turn into a conflict.

The chief of the White House also pointed to the search for a solution to the problem of climate change.

"This is the existential threat to humanity," Biden said.

The U.S. president noted that preparing for a new pandemic is also an important challenge for the country.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, U.S. President Joe Biden and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg discussed during the meeting on Tuesday the consequences of the Russian war, multi-format strengthening of Ukraine's defense capabilities, as well as the strengthening of the Alliance.
