Zelensky thanks Biden for another security assistance package

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has thanked U.S. President Joseph Biden for the package of security assistance in the amount of more than $2 billion.

Zelensky wrote about this on Twitter, reports Ukrinform.

"Thank you POTUS for the $2.1 billion security assistance package. We appreciate the strong leadership support of Ukraine in our fight against Russian aggression from the American people," the tweet reads.

The president noted that against the backdrop of unprecedented terror and ecocide as a result of the explosion at the Kakhovka HPP dam, this batch of assistance is more important than ever.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the latest package, worth a total of $2.1 billion, includes critical air defense capabilities and munitions and is provided under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI).
