Zelensky, Rutte discuss strengthening of Ukraine's air defenses, creation of jets coalition

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte have discussed the strengthening of Ukraine's air defenses and the creation of a fighter jet coalition for the country.

The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"I had a call with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte. I informed him about the intensification of missile terror by the Russian aggressor against Ukraine. We talked about the aviation coalition and strengthening our air defense. I appreciate the leadership support of the Netherlands, including security support. I am convinced that it will grow further!" Zelensky said.

Earlier reports said the Netherlands was "seriously considering" sending F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine but has not taken any final decision yet.
