Heavy weapons for Ukraine and pilot training: Stefanchuk meets with Morawiecki

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk has discussed with Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki the supply of heavy weapons to Ukraine and the training for Ukrainian pilots.

The Ukrainian parliament speaker said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

“At the meeting, I spoke primarily about strengthening security support and speeding up the supply of heavy weapons. I welcomed Poland's willingness to train Ukrainian pilots. I hope this process will start soon," the report says.

Stefanchuk also called on Poland to extend sanctions against the Russian Federation.

"It is important to solve the issue of Russia's evasion of sanctions, introduce a full embargo on energy carriers and introduce sanctions against Rosatom," the Verkhovna Rada chairman said.

At the same time, he called on Poland to support the Peace Formula proposed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

"Ukraine aspires to a comprehensive, just and lasting peace, as well as security for the whole world," the Ukrainian parliament speaker added.

Stefanchuk also thanked the government of the Republic of Poland for comprehensive assistance to Ukraine and support in countering Russian aggression.

As reported by Ukrinform, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk is currently in Poland on a two-day visit.
