Zelensky, Macron meet at Elysee Palace

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is holding a meeting with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron in Paris.

According to Ukrinform, a video of the Ukrainian leader's arrival at the Elysee Palace was published on Twitter by the French channel BFM TV.

"Emmanuel Macron received Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Elysee Palace," reads the caption to the video.

Zelensky arrived in Paris from Germany on Sunday. He will have a working dinner with Macron at the Elysee Palace.

The Elysee Palace reported earlier that during the meeting, Macron will "reaffirm the unfailing support of France and Europe to restore Ukraine's legitimate rights and defend its fundamental interests." The conversation between the two leaders will "focus on the support that France continues to provide in response to Ukraine's urgent military and humanitarian needs."

"The two Presidents will also discuss the longer-term prospects for the return of peace in Europe, notably on the basis of the Peace Plan proposed by President Zelensky, which France supports," Elysee Palace said.
