Having briefed the members of the German Security Cabinet on the situation on the frontline and the priority needs of the Ukrainian defense forces, the Head of State emphasized the necessity of lifting restrictions and red lines on the supply of all types of weapons to Ukraine.

Addressing the Federal Chancellor, the President noted a fundamentally new character of bilateral relations.

"Since February 24 last year, with the "change of epochs," as you so aptly put it, relations between our countries have changed profoundly. From providing Ukraine with humanitarian aid to receiving the most modern air defense systems, artillery, infantry fighting vehicles and battle tanks," he emphasized.

Zelensky thanked the Chancellor for his personal role in these transformations and expressed hope for Germany's leadership in the formation of the aircraft coalition.

The Head of State commended the decision of the Federal Government to earmark funds for the purchase of military equipment necessary for Ukraine until 2032 in the total amount of 17 billion euros.

At the meeting, a full range of topical issues of bilateral cooperation was discussed. Particular attention was paid to security support for Ukraine and the development of substantive cooperation in this area; Germany's involvement in the reconstruction of Ukraine, including the role of the private sector in this process, as well as cooperation on the path of Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
