Ukraine, Czechia, Slovakia presidents sign joint declaration in Kyiv

Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine, his Czech counterpart Petr Pavel, and Slovakian leader Zuzana Chaputova signed a joint declaration of support for Ukrainian European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

The signing ceremony took place during the visit of the Czech and Slovak presidents to Kyiv on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I am grateful to Slovakia and the Czech Republic for supporting our country’s integration into the European and Euro-Atlantic spaces. The relevant principles are recorded in the joint declaration that we have just signed," Zelensky said at the press conference following the meeting with the two presidents.

The head of the Ukrainian state also expressed his gratitude to the leaders and peoples of Slovakia and the Czech Republic for the fact that "together we protect our freedom and the lives of our people."

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on the morning of April 28, President of the Czech Republic,Petr Pavel, and his Slovak counterpart Zuzana Chaputova arrived in Kyiv.
