Grossi briefs Zelensky on IAEA's medical program for Ukrainian NPPs

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi in a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky informed him about the program of medical assistance for personnel at all Ukrainian nuclear power plants.

Grossi announced this on Twitter, according to Ukrinform.

"Honored to speak with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the 37th anniversary of the accident at Chornobyl & announce to him an IAEA program of medical assistance for personnel at all Ukraine Nuclear Power plants (NPPs). We continue our efforts to protect the Zaporizhzhia NPP," Grossi wrote.

The accident at the fourth nuclear reactor of the Chornobyl NPP occurred on April 26, 1986. More than 600,000 citizens were involved in the work to eliminate the accident itself and its consequences.

On the 37th anniversary of the tragedy at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, President Volodymyr Zelensky honored the memory of the Chornobyl cleanup workers.
