"Following up on their phone call with President Volodymyr Zelensky, I was received by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani in Baghdad today. I commended the Government of Iraq for its solidarity with Ukraine. We focused on the next steps to reinvigorate relations between Ukraine and Iraq," Kuleba said.

As Ukrinform reported, earlier last week, President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with the Iraqi prime minister the intensification of interstate cooperation and the Ukrainian peace formula.

On Monday, April 17, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba arrived on a visit to Iraq. This is the first visit by a Ukrainian foreign minister to Iraq since 2012.
