Zelensky, Sunak sign Declaration of Unity

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak have signed a Declaration of Unity regarding allied cooperation and mutual support.

The relevant statement was made by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a joint press conference with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to Zelensky, the Declaration of Unity indicates a new level of relations.

“We acknowledge the achieved level of security, sanctions, political and economic cooperation, and have determined today how we will further strengthen the positions of our states,” Zelensky said.

Additionally, the two leaders discussed defense support for Ukraine and cooperation in international platforms.

Zelensky thanked the United Kingdom for its readiness to work together until Ukraine’s peace formula is fully implemented.

According to the President of Ukraine, his visit to the United Kingdom was really productive. Zelensky expressed gratitude to Sunak for his understanding of Ukraine’s needs, as well as apt advice and decisions that allow Ukrainian warriors to become even stronger.
