On February 24, the UN Security Council will hold a debate dedicated to the first anniversary of the beginning of Russia's all-out invasion of Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform's correspondent in New York, Malta's Permanent Representative to the UN, Vanessa Frazier, told this to journalists on Wednesday.

Representing the country that presides over the Security Council in February, she noted that the foreign ministers of the UNSC member countries are invited to the debate.

Frazier said that the level of representation of countries at the Security Council is still unknown, as is the list of speakers. This will become clear closer to the event itself, she said.

The diplomat stressed that her country condemns Russian aggression against Ukraine.

"Although Malta is a neutral country, it is an active neutrality," she added.
