President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that Austria could help Ukraine with anti-drone systems, electronic warfare systems, demining, ambulances, and fire trucks.

"Austria sees what evil Russia has brought to our state and our people with its aggression. But Austria can help protect the lives of our people and all Europeans whose lives Russia is almost trying to destroy," Zelensky said at a press conference with President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He noted that Austria is a "neutral state in the military sense of the word", but "as a defender of life and our common European values" provides support to Ukraine.

The President noted that he had informed his Austrian colleague about the needs of Ukraine which his country could help meet.

"In particular, these are anti-drone systems, electronic warfare systems, other non-lethal equipment we would really like Austria to help us with significantly," the President noted.

Zelensky emphasized that anti-drone systems are not a weapon, but a "shield" and "protection".

He also pointed out the need for assistance in demining Ukrainian territory.

In addition, Zelensky noted the possibilities of Austria's assistance to Ukraine in the energy field, including with generators.

He also said that Ukraine needs 400-500 ambulances for de-occupied settlements and fire trucks for the State Emergency Service.

Zelensky believes that Austria can help Ukraine in solving humanitarian issues.

As reported, President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen is visiting Ukraine on February 1.

Earlier, Austria announced that it would not send weapons to Ukraine.
