Zelensky, Belgian PM discuss further defense cooperation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo the continuation of defense cooperation.

“Thanked Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo for the previous powerful defense package. We discussed further cooperation, support for our initiatives at the UN, acceleration of the next EU sanctions package,” Zelensky wrote on Twitter.

He also stressed that Ukraine counts on Belgium’s principled stance on not allowing Russian athletes to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

As reported by Ukrinform, on January 27, the Belgian government approved the allocation of the largest military aid package for Ukraine in the amount of EUR 92 million.
