Ukraine, the United States, and Europe won their first joint victory over Russia when they finally got rid of its influence on the minds of the countries of the civilized world.

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine said this during an address to U.S. Congress in Washington on Wednesday, Ukrinform's own correspondent reports.

"Our first joint victory – we defeated Russia in the battle for minds of the world!" emphasized the Head of the Ukrainian State.

He noted that this victory gave the Ukrainians courage which inspires the world. It allowed Americans to unite the global community in protecting freedom and international law. Europeans have also gained victory in this area, and that is why Europe is now stronger and more independent than ever.

"The Russian tyranny has lost control over us and it will never influence our minds again," Zelensky emphasized.

He also expressed his conviction that the countries of the Global South should also gain such victory.

"Russians will stand a chance to be free only when they defeat the Kremlin in their minds," the President of Ukraine noted.

Yet, he emphasized that the battle continues and the Kremlin must be defeated on the battlefield.

"This battle is not only for the territory, for this or another part of Europe. The battle is not only for life, freedom and security of Ukrainians or any other nation which Russia attempts to conquer. This struggle will define in what world our children and grandchildren will live, and then their children and grandchildren," the Head of the Ukrainian State emphasized.

As reported by Ukrinform, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday arrived in the USA on an official visit.
