The United States sees the results of its security assistance to Ukraine, now standing at over $20 billion, on the battlefield.

That’s according to U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, who took part in Ukrinform’s survey “300 days of war as seen by foreign friends.

“[T]he Armed Forces of Ukraine have put over $20 billion in U.S. security assistance to effective use in Ukraine’s self-defense and in liberating occupied areas. We see the results on the battlefield, and we remain in close contact to determine how we can best meet current and future needs so Ukraine can continue to free its territory and its citizens from occupation,” Brink said.

The ambassador added that U.S. President Joe Biden had been clear that the United States would “continue to prioritize sending air defense systems” to Ukraine to help it defend itself from Russia’s aggression.

She has noted that the U.S. strongly encourages other countries to continue providing the necessary military equipment for Ukraine to defend itself against Russia.

In total, the U.S. since February 24 has provided more than $35 billion in concrete support “that saves lives and helps Ukraine prevail,” the ambassador stressed.

As reported earlier, the Ukrainian state budget today received in its accounts $2 billion in grant funds, provided by the U.S. to cover pension payments and salaries to civil defense personnel, as well as financing the medical guarantees program.
