Yermak, Sullivan discuss security, economic, humanitarian support for Ukraine

In a phone call, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and U.S. President’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan discussed the continuation of security, economic and humanitarian support for Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by the Office of the President of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The conversation was also joined by Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark A. Milley.

The Ukrainian side briefed U.S. representatives on the current situation on the battlefield and the measures taken to counteract Russian armed aggression.

The parties considered the continuation of security, economic and humanitarian support for Ukraine, and noted the importance of strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure objects.

Additionally, the parties paid attention to the ways of achieving a just peace in Ukraine, which would be based on the fundamental principles enshrined in the UN Charter and would bring the aggressor state to justice.

The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine thanked the United States, President Joseph Biden, both houses of the U.S. Congress and the entire American society for their support of Ukraine and invaluable contribution to the protection of the values of freedom and democracy in Europe and the whole world.
