President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine says many major corrupt officials left the country after the full-scale invasion by Russia this February.

The president spoke via videoconference at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum, Ukrinform reports with reference to Zelensky's press service.

"The main things we should pay attention to are these: we are united, those remaining are willing to defend their state. No one will be able to forgive corruption in the future Ukraine. We have all gone through very difficult challenges and a very difficult time," Zelensky said.

In addition, he expressed hope that after the war ends, Russia’s economic, political, and informational influence will disappear.

"There will be no influence of Russian capital in Ukraine – they either pulled out from our enterprises or we pushed them out. The political party is banned and they will not run in the next elections. There will be no media influence on our development and neither will there be any in the geopolitical direction," the president emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the State Bureau of Investigation had launched since war-start 321 criminal proceedings into crimes in the customs field.
