Zelensky meets with Greek president
The head of the Ukrainian state greeted his Greek counterpart on the square near the Mariinsky Palace. Then, negotiations took place between the delegations of the two countries, Ukrinform reports with reference to a video provided by the President’s Office press service.
After the talks, a press conference of the presidents was held.
"I am glad to welcome you in Ukraine today. I am glad to welcome you at a time when we all - not only Ukrainians, all Europeans - need maximum unity and maximum cooperation. Challenges and crises caused by Russian aggression are a threat to everyone on our continent. And only together we can bring back security not only to Ukraine, bring back security to the whole of Europe and guarantee peace," Zelensky said.
He also noted that the negotiations with the Greek president were very meaningful and important for both countries.
"We are really working together with the Greek side to end this war as soon as possible, to end Russian criminal aggression and to return normal life to Ukraine. It is for this purpose that we are developing our cooperation in the defense, political, economic, and humanitarian spheres," the President added.
As reported, Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and Minister of Defense Nikos Panagiotopoulos arrived in Kyiv for a visit on November 3.
