President Volodymyr Zelensky has thanked President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his active participation in preserving the grain agreement, unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

“I thanked Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his active participation in preserving the grain deal, for his steadfast support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote on Twitter.

The president also noted they discussed further steps to return Ukraine’s POWs and political prisoners, adding that in this issue, he also counts on support of Turkey.

As Ukrinform reported, on October 29, the Russian Federation announced its withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative, justifying its decision by an alleged attack on ships of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol Bay. Russia accused Ukraine and the United Kingdom of carrying out the attack. However, twelve ships left Ukrainian ports on Monday under the Black Sea Grain Initiative

On November 2, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced at a meeting of the parliamentary group of the Justice and Development Party that the operation of the "grain corridor" has been resumed, and grain transportation will be carried out as before.
