Zelensky says he counts on Britain's leadership in matter of protecting Ukrainian skies

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a phone call with British Prime Minister Liz Truss said that he counts on the United Kingdom's leadership in the matter of protecting Ukrainian skies.

Zelensky said this in a statement on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"I've spoken with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Liz Truss. We count on Great Britain's leadership in strengthening international political and defense support for Ukraine, in particular regarding the protection of our skies," Zelensky said.

Both parties discussed further resolute actions to increase pressure on Russia.

On October 10, Russian troops launched multiple air strikes against towns and cities in Ukrainian. In total, 84 missiles were fired at Ukraine. Eleven people were killed and 64 injured in the strikes.
