European Commissioner Lenarčič condemns missile attack on Zaporizhzhia

European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarčič condemned Russia’s missile attack on Zaporizhzhia which killed at least 13 people.

“I most strongly condemn Russia’s attacks against Ukrainian civilians and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. Civilians and civilian infrastructure must not be a target. Never. Nowhere,” Lenarčič posted on Twitter.

He also added hashtags #Zaporizhzhia and #NotATarget.

As reported, on the night of October 9, Russian aviation launched a missile strike on Zaporizhzhia city. Dozens of private houses, apartment blocks and other civilian infrastructure of the city came under fire.

According to the police data, 13 people were killed and 60 people were hospitalized. Children are among the killed and injured.
