Kuleba, Stoltenberg discuss Ukraine’s NATO membership application

In a phone call, Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister Dmytro Kuleba and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg have discussed Ukraine’s NATO membership application.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Building on his dialogue with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, I had a call with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to brief him in detail on Ukraine’s membership application. We agreed to keep in contact on the matter and discussed NATO’s further practical steps to support Ukraine in countering Russian aggression,” Kuleba noted.

A reminder that, on September 30, 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk and Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal signed Ukraine’s application for accelerated accession to NATO.
